Kean Athletics 2nd Annual Golf Outing

On a hot, sunny day in July, Kean University’s Athletics Department held its 2nd annual golf outing at Galloping Hill Golf Course. On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, more than 100 golfers braved the extreme summer heat in support of Kean Athletics’ 2nd Annual Golf Outing, which took place at the beautiful Galloping Hill Golf Course located in Kenilworth, New Jersey.

Those in attendance included Kean University President, Lamont O. Repollet, Ed.D., and Kean’s Athletics Director, Kelly Williams, as well as numerous members of Kean’s administration and staff, University alumni, generous donors and friends of the University.

Following a “shotgun start”, the golfers took to the course to begin their 18 holes – but this was no ordinary 18-hole course! Along the way, the golfers found three contest holes where they were challenged to win the “longest drive”. The option to purchase mulligans for a little help along the way was also available to anyone who felt like a do-over was needed on any of the non-contest holes! Ever conscious of the rising temperature, the attentive staff at Galloping Hill made sure the golfers were well-hydrated, handing out bottles of water across the course as the golfers played through.

In addition to an awards ceremony, a new element introduced during this year’s concluding reception was a silent auction. A number of exclusive items were available for bidding, including four tickets to a New York Red Bulls game, a Phil Simms autographed football and a Kyrie Irving autographed basketball.

Even the unrelenting sun could neither keep participants away, nor temper the enthusiasm of Kean Cougars and friends who happily showed up in support of Kean Athletics. A great time was had by all, proving that Cougar pride runs deep – and setting the stage for the 2023 event!

3. We do not welcome comments, replies, messages or posts that are promoting or soliciting a third-party site. This includes third-party products and initiatives.
4. Social media is not the proper forum to send us feedback about our services. Please email kuf@keanfoundation.org for help with those topics.
5. We reserve the right to remove comments/replies/message that do not adhere to our policies, or any content that we believe does not comply.
6. We reserve the right to block or ban anyone who violates our policies.
