A Message from Bill Miller, CEO of the Kean University Foundation
September 2024
Dear Fellow Cougars and Generous Partners:
On behalf of the students, faculty and staff of Kean University, the Kean University Foundation thanks each and every donor and volunteer for your generous investment and visionary leadership throughout the past academic year. During Fiscal Year 2024, thousands of alumni, friends and industry partners contributed more than $6.2 million in private fundraising activity to support Kean’s academic, research and service initiatives. This collective generosity opens doors for thousands of students, many of whom might not have otherwise had the opportunity to pursue a college education. To each generous Cougar who chose to invest in Kean this year—and each and every year—thank you for your continued support and exceptional advocacy as donors and volunteers to advance Kean’s mission.
Your help enables us to deliver in ways that no other university can. This is only the beginning. Guided by the steady vision and leadership of our 18th president, Lamont O. Repollet, Ed.D., Kean University remains on track to become an R2 designated institution – preeminent in research, discovery, teaching and engagement – by 2025. Success will herald real solutions for our students, state, industries and society.
Kean University would not have arrived at this critical growth point without the loyal donors, alumni, faculty, staff and community partners who have supported and helped guide us. We are profoundly grateful for all of the time, financial support and good counsel that this has involved. It is now time to begin a new chapter for Kean in partnership with friends and supporters, old and new. The Kean University Foundation is ready and, with the continued and generous support of all of our alumni, friends and partners we will succeed together.
We look forward to this academic year, knowing that we are facing the highest ever total enrollment in the institution’s history, expected to exceed 18,000 students. Kean continues serving the community with highly trained, well-prepared men and women who carry with them the values so central to our past and so vital a part of our future.
With best wishes for a pleasant autumn,
Kind regards,

Bill Miller, CFRE
