Day of Appreciation and Giving

The last couple of months have been a whirlwind to say the least. Millions of lives changed in a blink of an eye, many of those lives were members of our Kean family.

So many of our alumni and faculty have voiced concerned for our students, especially the Class of 2020, who had their lives upended and have shared heartfelt sentiments of support and compassion. This struck the Foundation as nothing less than an outpouring of care.

With so much caring and outpouring of appreciation taking place over the last couple of months the Kean University Foundation made a shift in our annual Kean Day of Giving to a Day of Appreciation and Giving. On June 1 we are asking everyone to take a break from the news and share a message of appreciation or quote with the Kean community. It can be a message sending appreciation for the front-line workers, a former professor, an event that took place while you attended Kean, or to someone who has shown you kindness during this time. With each story we are not only inspiring our students, faculty, staff, and alumni, we are showing that even during this turbulent time we can care for one another, even if it is just a few words.

We hope you will consider making a special gift in honor of the Class of 2020. With each gift we receive it shows our newest alumni that they have a strong community supporting them as they take this giant step into their newfound future.

However, you demonstrate appreciation, let's come together virtually for a 24-hour celebration of caring for others during this time.

Join us as we spread the news that, at Kean University we stay STRONG.
