What’s Special About April 14th?
On April 14th, 1855, Newark Normal School, now Kean University, held its first day of classes.

Celebrate
In special recognition of Founders Day, we will hold our annual Day of Giving celebration on Friday, April 14th. Our Day of Giving is the University’s annual day of gratitude, and a special time to show our pride, honor our mission, and raise crucial funds to support Kean University. We invite you to join us on April 14th to demonstrate your dedication to Kean by doing these things:

Participate
Giving matters – for strengthening programs, supporting scholarships and ensuring current and future Cougars have a world-class higher education. Make your gift on this special day to help us raise $100,000 in support of Founders Day! Each gift of every amount is vital to enhancing a Kean education.

Promote
Share and show how much Kean University means to you by posting to social media on Giving Day using #KeanGives or #KeanFoundersDay. Take a photo and tag us wearing your favorite Kean gear or colors and reach out to your network and get them fired up!

Motivate
Inspire others to give by issuing a challenge gift – contact Molly McGarry, Director of Annual Giving at mmcgarry@keanfoundation.org to let us know of your interest.
