The 2009 Scholars Recognition Ceremony
The 2009 Kean University Scholars Recognition Ceremony brought together 770 donors, scholars, families and friends on Sunday, October 25 in Harwood Arena. Approximately 325 scholarship recipients were honored for their outstanding academic achievements, and nearly 100 donors were present to congratulate them in person.
The program incorporated poignant speeches from scholars Sarah Yourman, who received the B.J. and Helen Fidurski Endowed Memorial Scholarship; and Wilfredo Rosario, a senior who earned the Kean University Veterans Scholarship. The audience was also treated to musical performances by Katherine Thode, a sophomore flutist and recipient of the College of Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship; and Robert Anderson, a junior violinist who was awarded the Fritz and Naida Lambert Memorial Scholarship.
Thank you to all of our scholarship donors for their continuing generosity. If you have not yet established or contributed to a scholarship, it is never too late to do so.
